• TOWNS ASK STATE FOR MORE AID
(Atlantic City, 11/20/2008) Since the state cut funds to municipalities this budget year, towns have been scrounging for extra money and creative ways to share services with other municipalities. And some mayors are more hopeful than others in light of the Governor's promise to help.

• BLOOMBERG: NO MONEY FOR TAX REBATES; WON'T ISSUE CHECKS
(Brooklyn, 11/19/2008) New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg says $400 tax rebate checks will NOT be going out to homeowners, despite what the City Council says, because he says the City does not have the money.
